Guides students through multiple assessed hands-on two- dimensional, three-dimensional, and digital activities utilizing Cultural Responsive Learning strategies. Observes students to ascertain their interests, background, learning styles and maturity level. Serves as lead elementary teacher for art department and mentor to first and second year art teachers. Prepares and presents student artwork in school, gallery, and art show settings. Facilitates after school art club. Member of Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports Committee. Past duties have included PTO/Teacher liaison, RTI interventionist, and AIMSWeb progress monitoring.
